Dr. Huang is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of retinal and vitreous diseases. With more than a decade of experience in clinical practice, academic medicine, and research, she is recognized for her expertise in the diagnosis and management of complex retinal conditions, including age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, macular holes, and other disorders affecting vision.

Dr. Huang earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), graduating magna cum laude and earning election to Phi Beta Kappa. She subsequently attended the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where she distinguished herself through academic excellence, leadership, and community service. In addition to her medical degree, Dr. Huang earned a Master of Public Health in Health Care Management and Policy from the Harvard School of Public Health. She further expanded her research training as a Clinical Research Fellow at the National Eye Institute of the National Institutes of Health, where she served as a co-investigator on the pilot study that contributed to the landmark Age-Related Eye Disease Study (AREDS II).

Following medical school, Dr. Huang completed residency training in Ophthalmology at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. She then completed advanced fellowship training in Vitreoretinal Surgery at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and Harvard Medical School, where she trained under internationally recognized leaders in retinal disease and surgery.

Throughout her career, Dr. Huang has held faculty appointments in ophthalmology and vitreoretinal surgery, educating medical students, residents, and fellows while contributing to the advancement of ophthalmic education and patient care. She formerly served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology and Vitreoretinal Surgery at Loma Linda University.

Dr. Huang maintains active membership in several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and Women in Ophthalmology. She is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, and French, and she values building meaningful connections with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
