Dr. Michael W. Hasz is a nationally recognized, board-certified spine and orthopedic surgeon with over three decades of clinical experience in surgical and non-surgical management of complex spinal disorders. He is dual board certified in both Orthopedic Surgery and Spinal Surgery, and holds additional board certification in Interventional Pain Management techniques. Dr. Hasz’s expertise extends to advanced spinal procedures, including robotics-assisted surgery, spinal cord stimulator implantation, scoliosis correction, and minimally invasive techniques.
A proud veteran, Dr. Hasz served as a Major in the United States Air Force, where he was Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Director of Spinal Surgery at Malcolm Grow Medical Center at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. He received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School and completed his orthopedic residency at Grace Hospital in Detroit. He pursued specialized fellowship training in orthopedic and neurological spine surgery at the prestigious William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. Furthering his multidisciplinary approach, Dr. Hasz also earned an MBA from George Mason University with a focus on healthcare leadership and practice management.
In 2018, Dr. Hasz founded the Hasz Spine Institute in Reston, Virginia, where he currently offers personalized, evidence-based care to patients suffering from back and neck conditions.
