Dr. Batin-van Rooyen is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon and fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma specialist with more than 25 years of clinical experience. She earned her medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine, completed her orthopedic surgery residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco, and went on to complete a prestigious orthopedic trauma fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Throughout her career, Dr. Batin-van Rooyen has held numerous leadership roles, including serving as Founder and Medical Director of an Orthopedic Trauma Hospitalist Program that provided 24/7 trauma coverage for a community hospital on California’s Central Coast. Her clinical expertise includes the management of high-acuity musculoskeletal injuries resulting from motor vehicle accidents, recreational and agricultural trauma, and other complex orthopedic conditions across both hospital-based and private practice settings. She is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Orthopaedic Trauma Association, and the California Orthopaedic Association. Dr. Batin-van Rooyen currently practices at Regional Medical Center of San Jose, where she specializes in the comprehensive operative and non-operative management of acute and complex musculoskeletal trauma.
